Since moving to Colorado, I’ve partaken in a few Colorado-y things – snowboarding, hiking, etc. I’ve been camping twice now, both times with the Whimseybox crew, and had a great time. Granted this is car camping, which is nearly glamping, but you gotta start somewhere. Last year, I saved Alicia from going on a white water rafting trip down the river, sans raft. It was super dramatic, hands gripping, slipping, “hold on!”, and I shall never let her forget it! There was no such near-death experience on our July 4th trip, but there were GIANT marshmallows (seriously, the size of small apples), lots of campfire chat and some awesome fireworks!
Patrick bought a Kammock (which he actually slept in on night two) right before the trip and it was awesome. We decided we definitely need some for the new Whimseybox office!
Alison informed me that this beauty was a Columbine, the state flower of Colorado. Isn’t it beautiful?!
Radish had a big ol’ blast splashing around in the river, chasing sticks and showering everyone with river water.
This is what pure joy looks like!
I picked some wildflowers on our mid-day hike (shh, don’t tell! I won’t pick the Columbines again!) and had fun making an organic arrangement in my DIY water bottle vase.
Can’t wait for next year’s trip!
